Corben Baby Ace

The other details I'm particulARly fond of are the stitching in the leather around the dash and the phillipshead screw heads that are visible..o yeh..the inset gauges are nice ,too.
This one is Low and Slow, to be sure!!!
One more thing...when looking out eiother side of the cockpit, the views of the undersides of the wing s seem perfect...that is, the perspective is outstanding. In some models, when one peers outside the wings don't look quite right, but this one is a gem.

Spot view seemed to white out so I dropped Lyons' effects in

Beautiful model ..... Thank you :applause: :applause: :applause:

I'm loving the tundra version, totally impractical for hauling cargo in and out of bush strips , but a heck of a lot of fun. :jump::jump::jump:

:ernae:

Pete.

If ya take the tundra version and very carefully skim water with it, it sets the wheels spinning...very nice!

For all y'all Tundra loving fans out there, you will be pleased to note the other liveries can easily transport into the Tundra folder. With only a few tweaks to the aircraft.cfg you can be flying your favorite paint schemes in the ol' Bouncing Betty.:applause:

Here's an example of the changes I made for the No Spats US Army -- The Invasion striped one.

Original entry in the "No Spats" folder:

[fltsim.1]
title=Baby Ace No Spats 1
sim=BabyAce
model=1
panel=
sound=
texture=1
checklists=
kb_checklists=CorbenBabyAce_check
kb_reference=CorbenBabyAce_ref
atc_id=L472
atc_id_color=0000000000
ui_manufacturer=Corben
ui_type=Baby Ace Model 'D'
ui_variation=Green (U.S. Army)
description=The Ace Baby Ace was the world's first aircraft to be marketed as a homebuilt aircraft when its plans were offered for sale in 1929. Plans are still available and Baby Aces are still being built today. Orland Corben designed a series of aircraft for the Ace Aircraft Manufacturing Company, the Baby Ace, Junior Ace, and Super Ace. Corben's name was associated with the aircraft, and it is commonly known as the Corben Baby Ace.

And here is how it looked after tweaks in the Tundra folder:

[fltsim.3]
title=Baby Ace Tundra US Army <<Rename for uniqueness
sim=BabyAce
model=1 << use any existing Tundra model
panel=
sound=
texture=US Army <<Rename for uniqueness
checklists=
kb_checklists=CorbenBabyAce_check
kb_reference=CorbenBabyAce_ref
atc_id=L472
atc_id_color=0000000000
ui_manufacturer=Corben
ui_type=Baby Ace Model 'D' Tundra
ui_variation=Green (U.S. Army) <<Rename for uniqueness

Also made very slight adjustment in the contact points for the big tires -- My way to add a little air pressure :icon_lol:

point.1 = 1, 0.62, -2.5, -4.35, 1600, 1, 1.1, 0, 0.3, 2.5, 0.8, 0, 0, 2, 0, 0
point.2 = 1, 0.62, 2.5, -4.35, 1600, 2, 1.1, 0, 0.3, 2.5, 0.8, 0, 0, 3, 0, 0

Now it's off to see what other liveries deserve the Tundra treatment.

I assume these changes only apply to the spats and no spats versions as the static pitch values are different for the other four.

Works with Tundra & Ski versions.
Wing scrapes also work with float version.
Love the moorings with the floats.

Hats off !

Thank you so much for this brilliant plane. Eyecandy plus perfect handling equals fun.
Size doesn´t matter at all, as small as it is, as big is the fun :medals:

Definitely my favourite for low´n´slow VFR

Yes! What he said. This is truely a real gem of an airplane, a genuine work of art :ernae:. Definately low and slow. In a good head wind, I have to get out and push! lol! Loving the "Tundra Buggy". Thanks for this little beauty!
