Corrado's Static Aircraft Carriers

 Is anyone in contact with Corrado and has his e-mail address?. I am looking for information on how he converted his aircraft carriers to airbases so that they can be placed in the mission builder. This eliminates the need to place the ships in the global layer. So if you have that information or know how to get in contact with Corrado it would be appreciated if you shared it.

It seems you already have facilities such as "airbase_enterprise_1" in RS China addon which should work as an airfield if placed in a mission.

Unfortunately that doesn't work unless you use the enterprise_static ship. That will work for the similar fleet carriers. What I was looking for is the methodology of creating the static ship in the escort classes. Right now we do not have any that are static types.

Thanks you for the suggestion, it was worth a try.

edit: I stand corrected you are absolutely right. Between what you suggested, Pat Pattle and Thudman have said in private conversation with me, I figured it out at long last on how to take a drop down carrier and place it in a mission and takeoff from it. Oh I have forgotten so much. :(

Cheers

Pity all the discussion isnt on the forum for all to see..... this is how information is lost.
Wasnt it to do with LOD on his model causing it to sit level with the ground plane when you flew close to it?

Corrado's static carrier package and his documentation for the carrier drop down flightdeck has been posted to the library under CFS3 Ship section.

I am not going to apologize for my private discussions where we might brain storm "what if's, "what about that", what our grandkids are doing and what make us laugh. It would cloud the public forum.:) But I will share answers and how-to's readily .

The following attached is a how to add carriers in a mission

Thanks for sharing mate, of course my statement was nothing to do with having a chat about your grand kids, just about the subject posted, I understand that completely.
When I first started here under various different usernames (forgetting passwords, losing access to email accounts) it was Combat Flight Center when CFS2 was the thing and then made the swap to CFS3 when it was released. As I'm sure you know, none of us are getting younger and there would be so many people, who have had information on the game mechanics, who have sadly passed or moved on to other projects and so much information has probably been lost as a result because it wasn't recorded publicly somewhere.
Ive only been back online (for various reasons) for the last few weeks and when I was going back through the forum I noticed a lot of threads started and then follow up posts saying they got an answer from private chat but then don't share the answer, sort of defeats the purpose of a forum in my mind.
Anyway enough rambling, thanks @rbp71854 again for sharing and preserving the information.
