over the past few years ,here in northern california, there have been several weird crashes involving crop dusters, the most bizarre was at the Yuba county airport, olivehurst cal,,this is the old USAAF air field that pilots like bud anderson trained in the P-39 at,i cant recall the old name of,the military name...but one day a AT-802 was landing on the runway when he actually landed smack dab on top of a grumman G164 ,was a heck of a mess.was pilot error and they also blamed it on the fact that most crop dusters dont have radios in them....that said...
yesterday and this morning ive been hearing several different call signs ,all proceeded by "airtractor" or "Grumman"...and one guy just says.."duster 34" ,the frec is 123.000 but ive not heard what airport they are calling..
does this mean theyve begun installing radios now?....
