CTDs with Installed planes.

Been playing CFS2 for over 10 years and I have had the above issue from when I started playing it. The peculiar issue is that I have a number of CFS2 installs and when I install a new plane into one CFS2 install and then install the same identical plane into another CFS2 install, I can fly that plane in one of the installs and in the other install, I get a CTD with the same identical plane. It doesn't happen all the time though. I also get a lot of CTDs of installed planes from certain authors,(The 1% Team, Shessi, Kris Malinoski, Andre Wai, Akemi Mizguchi and Team Daedalus). When I install similar planes from other authors, I have no problems usually. Does anyone else in the CFS2 World have problems like this? I know CFS2 has its quirks and issues and that CTDs and other problems with the Sim are hard to diagnose and fix sometimes.
I would love to hear from anyone who has some insight or thoughts on this. Thanks.
 
When do the CTDs happen? At random? After a specific time length? ‘Where’ are you flying? Are you flying free flight or missions/campaigns? Do you use custom scenery or stock? How are your installs setup? What are the specs of your computer?

I have many aircraft from the same authors you listed, and I can’t recall ever having any recent CTDs with any of them.
 
The CTD are usually caused by using panel bit map files smaller than 1024 X 768 if you don't have these two lines in the PANEL.CFG file.

All my aircraft use 1600X1200 bit map files. There is no requirement for the line file=Panel_Background_640.BMP.

You need to check every aircraft in the install to make sure all the PANEL.CFG files are correct.
