• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Was wondering if some one may be able to help.

I installed Paul Donnelly's (BASys) Country Flag rewards packs as per the printed instructions but I have failed to achieve any flag rewards despite flying to numerous countries etc. Is there something I have missed in the setup / installation? Do I need to activate or include something in the FSX CFG perhaps?

"If installing a COUNTRYNAME_DEFAULT_MASTER reward file,
and you'd previousy installed the matching
COUNTRYNAME_DEFAULT_BASIC and/or COUNTRYNAME_DEFAULT_SUPPLEMENTAL file(s).
Please ensure you remove those before launching FS."

Now this part of the Instructions did confuse me and as I couldnt find any files resembling those listed so I ignored, is this a major part of the installation process and have I failed to install properly?

If anyone can shed some light and point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Unlikely you've missed anything whilst installing.

Rather it looks like you've misunderstood
the principle behind acquiring these rewards.



It's not as simple as just flying to a country.

You have do a little work to earn them. :d



The STARTER PACKs give worldwide coverage,
in the vast majority,
as a BASIC reward for each country -

i.e.
1 postcard reward
for landing at every airport in that country.



For certain countries having lots of airports,
I've released detailed MASTER rewards -

i.e.
1 postcard reward
for landing at every airport in a province/state/region of that country.

Plus a country reward,
for acquiring all that country's province/state/region rewards.

etc, etc.
For details, see the country's matching *_REWARD_CONTENTS.txt



The instruction you cite -
relates to applying the UPDATES - PACKs.
When you install a country's MASTER reward,
 you should remove that country's BASIC reward.



Here's a list of the MASTER rewards
released as part of the UPDATES - PACKs -

PACK 1 -
- Belgium (16 rewards)
- Finland (11 rewards)
- France (33 rewards)
- Germany (23 rewards)
- Netherlands (19 rewards)
- Netherlands Antilles (6 rewards)
- Sweden (28 rewards)

PACK 2 -
- Japan, (46 rewards)
- New Zealand, (24 rewards)
- Poland, (23 rewards)
- South Africa, (16 rewards)

PACK 3 -
- Chile, (17 rewards)
- India, (38 rewards)
- Italy, (24 rewards)
- Madagascar, (8 rewards)

i.e.
Remove the matching BASIC reward for the above countries.



Currently there are no SUPPLEMENTAL rewards.

have a look at the quick-hit listing of easy to acquire rewards.
