CWDT BF109G Vol.I finally released !!!

The first verdict: this is IMHO in no way a better rendition than the one done by Mike of FR. The only feature that stands out is the visible DB motor. That is gorgious.
Don't likes:
1. Textures, both inside and out are cartoonish.
2. The FM is IMHO in no way credible. It handles like a lazy plane, that has problems getting airborne. It doesn't pick up lift as it should do. The tailwheel stays on the ground way too long! Whereas the tailwheel won't set down after the landing! A threepointer is practically impossible! The power you should expect in this plane is simply not there.
3. Changing between viewpoints let's the plane shake vehemently. It's also shaking when stationary. 4. The radiators only open when flap are applied?
All in all I'm not really pleased with this purchase. Sorry guys! Seems to me you got some patching to do.

Well, that's what they get for not letting us fly it Cees...........I haven't had a chance to fly it yet.

This is what stopped me when I saw the screenshots...:isadizzy:
This textures looks like Aeroplane Heaven old freewares.
I'm sorry for you, Cees.

Regards,

Stephan

This is a joke in bad taste right Epsillon? I don't know who it is you're trying to insult here .. Aeroplane Heaven or myself?

I've seen your work .. If you've got anything to say to me do it privately please.

Thy're not meant to be Photo-real Cees. A lot of work went into getting the "Box Art" look that you get on the packages of plastic models ..after all this sim isn't photo-real yet!

Have you read the documentation Cees? It stresses that payload and fuel have to be set manually on start up after the plane is selected .. otherwise you are trying to fly the aircraft at maximum gross weight!!

3. Changing between viewpoints let's the plane shake vehemently.

We don't have this on our systems .. (fuel/payload too high?)

It's also shaking when stationary. 4. The radiators only open when flap are applied?

Look into the documentation If you haven't already done so Cees .. I'm sure you'll change your mind!

Sorry, Sophocles, that's my opinion but absolutely not an insult.
I respect yourself and AH and I've bought all your respective products in the past but the past is away and quality has increased.
If you want to sell a product you have to accept criticism.
About my "work", you can say what you want, it's only a hobby and I don't make money with it.

Regards,

Stephan

On a positive note, I am sure it is a great feeling to release something that has been long in the making. The very early versions of a CWDT 109 wip picture I once saw were the prime reason I decided to include a DB engine in one of our old birds.

I've invited you to take the matter up with me personally Epsillon but you obviously have another agenda. It most definitely was an insult and I have no objection to criticism - only to unwarranted maliciousness by fellow hobby texture artists.

It's only a hobby for all of us whether it's payware or shareware or freeware or donationware.

We don't need to hide to talk.
We have good moderators and they can ban me if they want.
I'm sorry if you feel insulted but AH work was a good work and I hope they will not feel insulted by your reaction.

Stephan

PS: "fellow hobby texture artists" are often those who pay for your creations like I did for the Whirlwind, the Mustang and the Hellcat...

After re-reading this.....I've gone to my medicine cabinet now....

I'll not dignify your talk with any more posts regarding "your putting your foot in your mouth" and not having the guts to admit it.

You should feel ashamed and please allow Aeroplane Heaven to feel as they choose about both my reaction and yours; and not have it dictated to them by you.

You're aggressive tone is a little tiring.
You belong to those people who use the forum only to make promotion of your products and you don't tolerate criticism.
I don't want to waste my time with you. This forum is full of polite people who contribute freely to the community and it's with them that I want to spend time.

Good luck for your sales.

Stephan

Gentlemen!
I know all concerned here
including AH
I see all sides
could we just stop the personal digging
this thread could get closed in a hurry
thanks
H

I'm sorry you feel intimidated Epsillon ..

"Those in the know" recognize our contribution to the flightsim community and our years of freeware offerrings ..

Thanks for your wishes

LOL
i guess that hint was not enough:isadizzy:
Do i have to be Harder?
H

On whom?

We have just concluded a three page thread ..

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=16269

on which we have posted multiple hi-res (1600x1200) screenshots of the aircraft and on which we have received positive comments.
We release the aircraft and suddenly out of nowhere comes a fellow-painter who makes a comment on the texture work comparing it in quality to another company's much earlier work explicitly stating that our work is not up to current standards! Reproachful to say the least!

I say this because the man is a fellow texture artist and because he has seen the screen shots before and has made comments only now that we have released the product! .. suffice it to say very suspect.

Thank you Henry,
I'm sure you didn't mean anything by the capitals
