D50 Twin Bonanza

I'd guess that Danny Garnier has played with the alphas in transparent textures like glass and props to get a reasonable appearance in FsX/A.

Well, I read his added "readme" file and he claims that all he did was add thumbnails. He references Eric's original readme for any other info, but from what I can tell from that readme, it's just the original from the 2004 version. So apparently this is a "modded" version picked up by Danny somewhere and he added the thumbnails and passed it on (or this is how the original aircraft displayed in FSX without any additional mods).

I think this is the thread that "expat" was talking about from 2011:

It looks like the main problem was the "prop disc" in the model, not the "texture" that we can sometimes swap out to get a better appearance. This requires the source code to fix the fact that the original disc was coded differently for FS2004 than is now required for FSX "transparency".

Here's the problem, as stated before. . . .of course if you can live with that (not much choice otherwise) then everything else is fine. The engine controls are not "clickable", nor is the flaps switch. All other switches appear to work fine as do the gauges.

Thanks guys and sorry to repeat myself from a couple of years ago (`early onset` at 55 my wife tells me!). Funny searching the forum for `twin bonanza` doesn't pull up my older thread that Ed found. Always liked the late 50`s appeal of this somewhat heavier duty twin - the three place front seat and overall `authority` it presents.
