• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

'Dale Jr. Ready To Retire?'

Jimmy, his cigars, towels, straight jacket, etc are quite entertaining but he does tend to exaggerate, add hype, and take things out of context to help his and Speed Channel's ratings.

If I had to take the crap from reporters that Jr does I think I would take my millions and disappear!

i didnt see the interview,or hear what he said,,,but i agree,jr hasnt been into the sport the past few years.....even when he was winning in the busch series,i watched an interview with him and matt kenseth, matt wanted to talk racing and about compition, and jr wanted to talk about video games and drinking beer on the deck and the fact matt refused to go to jrs house ,,was embarrassing to watch

Pretty sure Junior has a new contract with Hendrick. Once that term expires, I think he will retire from driving. Not that he isn't already retired, the way he drives and the way he acts, I think he should be considered ROAD (Retired On Active Duty).

I used to feel some sympathy for Jr., because of all the media hype, generated by his name, that he couldn't live up to, but felt obligated to try to, none the less. But he does seem to have an "attitude problem" these days. I basically agree with Spencer in that piece.
