Dam Buster Texture Trouble

Old Tiger,

But your third shot is showing the same problem as mine. I get the effect in the GUI and in flight. It looks like you only get it in the former?

Hi threedp

Your missing the texture for the plyon

I'm not at home now tomorrow ill let you know the name of the texture, you can then search your directory if you don't find the texture then my theory is correct and ill then get the texture over to you via email

Regards Rob.

Capt. Winters,

Thanks. That's where my suspicions were leading me.

Old Tiger,

Yes, that's the spot!

Hi Threedp,

sorry for the late reply (real life got in the way)

I'm assuming this is the ETO version of the dam buster Lanc.

The pylon uses a lancaster texture to colour itself. if you go into your aircraft folder and open the ETO_Lanc_M3_Dam folder and then look inside the texture folder you should see 5 textures.

two have a AvH_GB_ prefix and two do not have this prefix, its these two files that the pylon uses.

Lancaster_mk3_AJM_t.dds
Lancaster_mk3_AJM_s.dds

If these are missing copy the main texure files and rename them to the above names and it should work.

If your still having trouble drop me a PM with your email and I'll send over the plane and pylons again for you.

regards Rob.

I got your email and all is well. I had the files and had them in the proper place, but they must have been corrupted or something because when I replaced them with the files you sent, things were fixed. Thanks!

Somewhat related, any idea why the approaches to the Mohne Dam in the Operation Chastise mission are not water? Looks more like mud flats, although the Upkeep will run through it properly.
