• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

I've just picked up off Facebook that Dave's in hospital. No clues as to why, but I know this cold weather's not been good for him. I know Dave's well liked here, so I thought I'd let you know.

Hi all,

This first i have been able to get to the virtual world. As jeff mentioned i have been admitted to hospital. I already suffer with rheumatoid arthritis n because of meds i have been on for 6 mths slowly damaging my muscles instead of helpin so sunday morming i woke to find i could hardly move, but by monday dinner i had to be helped to do anything, i was to find out when been taken to accident & emergancy my muscles were being desolbed n my body was absorbing it into my blood, if i had left it any longer i would have been looking at kidney failier ....... I was extremely lucky, once again i cheated life, 2 lives gone but when it comes to my body i'm a fighter n wont let it get the better of me. I am a bit better but have to stay in till they get my medication sorted out n help get my muscle built back up.

Thankyou to anyone who has left comments. Especially to you Jeff for this, i'm apreciate it so much.

Ye Gods! The disease isn't enough? You nearly get nailed by the meds, too?

It is indeed like an episode of House.

I've been working on potential drug candidates for RA for quite a few years now and coincidentally was informed that one of my projects will soon be moving to the clinic. It may not be much help to you now, but rest assured that some better treatments are on the horizon. Good luck.
