US Capitols (Contributed by WND)
See the US the easy way... or is it
Return to Tokyo (Contributed by jkcook28)
Starting in Alaska and heading to Tokyo here we come again
Asia 'n' Altitude (Contributed by jkcook28)
This is a High Altitude Bonanza choose your aircraft wisely.
Kiwikat World Adventure (Contributed by Kiwikat)
This is the Big One Folks I am actually thinking about putting a bounty on it... but that is for later.
These servers use specific Ports for each hops list. Be sure to add these ports and the ranges listed below to your port forwarding in your router. If you do not you will get the "Could not connect all players" Error. If you have any problems connecting check your firewall and make sure it is not blocking your sim.

FS2004 and FSX:
UDP 23456 *default port
UDP 23457 to 23461 *add to access these sessions
UDP 6073
UDP 2300 to 2400

See the FAQ at http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost For more information.

Use the Port checker software built by Russel Gilbert to check your port settings. It will not check the custom ports assigned to each Hops List but it will check all other necessary ports http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/FSPortTest.exe

While there are no real rules please use these settings:

Lock your frame rates at 25 (Standard Multiplayer Setting)
Real World Weather
Realism settings allow crashes and stress
Feel free to disallow collisions with other players (some people don't fly that well)
All Realism sliders full right (OK if you can handle it)
Scenery sliders as far as your system can go and still produce proper frame rates.

Crashing well is part of the game.

***Note to all Players
Please do not sit on the ground in Pause/Slew mode. You block out other players when you do this. If I find persons doing this I will gently kick you. I will not ban you this is a very minor error that some players miss.

A TeamSpeak Server is located at the same server. Pick and choose a room. I use the default TS port 8767

The TS Server is primarily for members of the Sim-Outhouse it is not advertised anywhere else. Please use your Sim-Outhouse user name when logging on. If you are from another Flightsim site like www.AVSIM.com , www.flightsim.com or www.FS-MP.com please add your site abbreviation you are always welcome.

Good Luck and Have Fun!!

Dave

As always Special Thanks to Russel Gilbert who created the FS Host Server Software.

Thanks for using my hoplist. :ernae:

Maybe we can pitch your server as being the official SOH multiplayer server?

Hmmm that being said, the only server that is showing up is the 23456 Return to Tokyo one. No matter what port I enter, that one comes up.

Hummm. John had problems earlier seeing them do the search again and see if they come up. I am on the inside so I see them all. Going to reboot the server and see what we get.

No need to advertise this as an official SOH server we also fly on Moparmike's. Being the official Server would be WAyyyy too much pressure.

As it is if this server dies tomororw I will not run out and buy anohter one to replace it.

Reboot complete try now.

Thanks Dave (and guys who did hop lists),

I'm two thirds along Tako_Kichi's UK challenge and was wondering what to fly next.

Cheers
Steve

Hey Dave! Nice collection of hoplists there!
I've been trying to brew up a few for the MAPE server but they've been turning out on the boring side so far.
Gonna check out John's Asia tour...sounds like a good one.

Have you been able to sort things out that you can fly on your own server's yet? Or did you switch your FSHost servers onto a different rig like my setup?

Well John and WND disagree with me but I feel a successful hops list contains lots of long flights into amazinly short airstrips or Water...lol

One of the best lists is the Hawaii list. Lots of nice scenery and some challenging strips.

No I have not even tried to create the same type set up you are using. I am using the server as a file serve backing up my important stuff so I want to protect it some what.

Oddly enough I can get out some times like last night Harassing the Merc-Air element. Funny how they got the best of the ATF one strangly lost the controller and the other lost internet. Had they know I was coming along I wonder what fate would have befallen me?

:friday:

I just realize in situations like that I may be a blocker and have to bail to let the real participants in.

I got other projects to work on anyway so I need to stay at home and work on the FSE_2009 Project....

Its Top Secret

OH BTW PRB I am going to go all out on this one so expect a PM in a month....

You scared now?

The around the world list is filled with MANY interesting airports. None water, but some are gravel, grass, and even a steel one or two.

I'm trying to do most if not all of the list in the A2A P-47. It is just too nice of a plane not to use ;D.

It would be neat to see you guys on sometime. :ernae:

Man, it's been awile since I've been on one of your servers Dave. I finally finished Alaska and am moving to a different adventure but for the life of me I can't remember how to the flightplan from the server into FS9.

I'm already thinking about February. :kilroy:

:clunk: I have not even had the chance to finish that hop list.

I think I emailed those to you or posted it on this website.

Either way it has to be exported from FSnav as a pnl file. Which means I have to find those files. It may take me a week to get near my FS install as Mrs. Dangerous is still here monopolizing my time. :applause:

:monkies:

Bummer, no hurry tho- I've started constructing the Asian altitude (attitude) in FSNav, but have no intention of building the Kiwikat session list (900+ hops ?) If you got the FSNav files for asia and kiwi that should set me up till mid next year. :p

No Problem

Some day I would really like to finish the Alaska hops list, US Capitols and all of the others myself. :icon_lol:

Then I'd like to add more.

Next year there will be a Carriers Hop list that will be the next one.

Why wait till next year, I can toss one your way in a couple hours- soon as I find links for all the scenery files. Is 16 enough ?

In order for it to work in FS Host I will need to edit the airport list in FS2004 and FSX adding the ICAO with Lat and Lon information.

Number of aircraft carriers should be 16 or more if you want.

Build the flight plan in FS Nav and export as a Windows INI file.

Dave is your FSHost server down ATM?

I was setting up my various race apps earlier and couldn't get into your FS Host server (the TS server connects fine).

Up and running fine.

To see if the servers are running click the link for the status page. If FS Host is running you will get the page. If not you will get the page not found error.

Not sure why you could not connect but I would look at your firewall. Is it blocking your FS Host Client?

Hmmmm...that's odd as I can get into MoparMike's server no problem.

Your address at the top of this page just returns a 'No sessions found' error in the FSHost MP connection window.

Yup, Dave's servers are up. I can see em from here.

If you can see mine, you should at least be able to hit Dave's :8084 server (the Return to Tokyo hoplist)...those are both on port 23456. It is possible that the path is blocked somewhere between you and Dave though.

Open a command window (CMD.exe) and try to ping fs9x.dyndns.org .That should at least tell you if there's a connection or if you're getting blocked somewhere along the route.
