Dave Copley P-38 in FSX

I'm a big David Copley fan, and the P-38 is one of my favorite aircraft. I still have the old Wings/Airpower magazine series from the 70s on its development. Well, Mr Copley is sem-retired and I was hoping someone could help me with another texture issue.

The attatched screenshot is dcc's P-38L for FS9 modified with the FSX conversion pack. As you can see, the dynamic virtual cockpit does work, but with a big patch of black texture on the left. What is that?

Also, I'd like to thank the FSX forum for being so helpful and so welcoming to a dedicated Basement guy.

If it's a bad gauge, I'm betting on the compass in the upper right corner. I'll get back to you. I'm locked in the house this afternoon.

Haven't found the culprit yet. In the CFS2 and FS9 versions, there was a directional gyro in the upper left of the vc panel but I don't see it in the panel.cfg. Right now I'm leaning toward an unruly texture.

Add this, or replace it, after the [Vcockpit01] section in the panel.cfg...Don
