If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Daveroo and the Law of Unintended Consequence

I just wanted to post this thread to thank Daveroo for his little article about his jaunt in his plumbing youth to the house of the woman with the backed-up honey bucket. Something like what occurred with him is going on right now with us - in our case, a condition that exists within a place we used to rent. The condition was blamed on us. I maintained it wasn't our fault, but was a combination of things not involving us. We hired a contractor to perform a certain service, involving this condition, which he did to our satisfaction. The rest of the crowd wasn't satisfied, and wanted him to redo what he'd done. We called the contractor back in, based on their insistence. This time the contractor looked very hard for the source of the problem. He found it. They who complained now have a $3,800 bill to clean up a mess they didn't know of that, as I originally maintained, was always causing the problem. Kind of like Daveroo's problem that began with a stopped-up toilet and ended with commitment to an asylum. Once these things start you never know where they'll end, now, do you?
