Hey All,

I was flying in the new ETO campaigns and happened to fly David C. Copley"s P-38J in Battle For Europe.

I remembered from my Dick Bong and Tommy McGuire missions that the panel config needs a modification to plug the hole in the left side of the panel.

Gauge 17 needs the following modification:

IT READS: gauge17=EXTRA-300.WISKEY-COMPASS, 152,332,54

It needs to be changed to: gauge17=WISKEY-COMPASS, 152,332,54

Capt. Kurt,

I'll take a look at it.

I'm not sure, (tried to research it) if the F model actually had the same panel as the later models or not.
There are several photos on the net, but they don't distinguish between models, even though they have slight differences.

Thanks,
DD

There are major differences. Morton's P-38 panel is for the p-38F and G models and it's a good panel. But the P-38J and L panel was completely different which is why I made mine. :adoration:

BTW there appear to be slight differences in photos of panels for the same P-38 mark but mostly that is because they depict different development aircraft, instruments available at time of production, and/or field mods. The basic panel design for each different mark was the same throughout its production run. i.e the P-38 F,G and H was one design while the P-38 J and L was the different design.
