DCS 2025 & BEYOND VIDEO!!!

Its great and all, but I struggle to see what era they want to be doing. I see to recall originally it was cold war era, but now it stretches from WW2 all the way to present day!

Begs the question of how realistic the F-35 will be. Looking forward to the C-130, looks like an J35 Draken AI - definitely the full fidelity F-15C. Was hoping the new module at the end would be the F-117, but I'll continue hoping on that front.

Some great video. Seems to focus on "Digital Combat Simulator" and no just digital combat aviation simulator. My additional observations are -

(1) No mention of resolving Razbam matter (I purchased all the Razbam / DCS stuff and I'm not happy about the situation);
(2) Is the F-15C (which is a pretty good Flaming Cliffs aircraft) an attempt to placate the unhappy Razbam purchasers;
(3) Great looking details on individual objects, but I want to see much better maps; and
(4) The Dino / IFE F-35 is a great MSFS aircraft and I hope the DCS F-35 is coming from IFE.

That's all for now (the MIG 29, F-100, C-130 and others are things that have been brewing for awhile so not commenting at this time).

1) I almost got the Mud Hen, yet waited as the Harrier was never fully finished despite IRL SME imput.
2) Good question and I wonder as well, I have wanted a FF "light gray" Eagle since FC3.
Hoped to see a show of the A-6 or A-7, but really happy to have the HeatBlur F-14B(U) show up, no more PTID questions and now only users asking "When is the D coming?"
Hoped more on the helo side, CH-47 needs work and ED refuses to listen to an AH-64 instructor about flight model changes. My beloved UH-60 doesn't seem to making any progress.

I would enjoy seeing "either or" also. My preference would be an A-6.

I failed to emphasize in my last message that DCS is a spectacular sim and keeps getting better. I tend to nit pick the failures or poor efforts, but sometimes forget to say what a great job Eagle Dynamics has done over the years with its very complex simulator. "Atta boy" ED!

Now, fix your issue with Razbam...I'll throw in $50.00!

Yes, there's all kinds of things to nit pick at. But I'm very impressed with how far this has come.

Couple of points.

1. Unfortunately, I do not believe that Razbam will be involved anymore with ED. I just read that ED revoked their SDK access. So, whatever anyone wants to believe, that one seems pretty devastating. Also, their 2 top coders who coded the FM and Radar systems on the Strike Eagle have moved on. So, from my perspective, this is a huge loss to the community, but this whole debacle prob could have been avoided...I'm sure all will "live and learn" as third parties.

2. I can't wait for the F-15C FF. Will be hard to peel me out of that one. BMS has one now and it's incredible.
3. F-35 will be a block II. It's all on their FAQ page. But I'm sure it will be a Frankenjet (hopefully) because Block II didn't have L16. So you'd imagine that they want to integrate that jet with at least the L16 net in DCS. Otherwise, what's the point of having all that tech with no way to share it with the rest of the package?
4. Despite all the negative stuff from the past I'm still optimistic about this sims potential.

And CenturySeries, I would love to see your A-12 or B-58 as a mod or full fidelity module in DCS (Hint Hint! Wink nod!) :D

"Despite all the negative stuff from the past I'm still optimistic about this sims potential."

I agree so much with this statement that I just finished building a mid-level priced new desktop computer based on the AM5 socket (Ryzen 7 9700X, RX 7900XTX (with a bump from the 9700X integrated graphics), B650 chipset) and stuff on M.2 memory. Boots up like greased lightening. Haven't finished installing software for all my peripherals yet, but I'll report back.
