• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Dead Link Freeware PW Sceneries Vol 5 - The Leeward Islands

I was reading about this great freeware scenery package called PW Sceneries Volume 5 - The Leeward Islands, I searched for the download link which I found here on SOH but the link is dead. Here is the post regarding the release of the scenery which contains the link to the website to download it:

I get this error message when I click on the download link:

Check if there is a typo in www.fswaterconfigurator.com.

I knew the fswaterconfigurator program and even still have it installed on my other laptop. Seems according to the wayback machine FSWaterConfigurator.com became strikingsoftware.com sometime in 2010. That site went off line in 2019 when the domain name expired.

Here is the good news for you. The wayback machine has all of the files in the download section of the site.

To download the files right click on the button and select open in new tab. Then wait for it to redirect, it was setup to do some kind of counter. After a few seconds you will redirect to the actual file and it will download. You might need to use Firefox to download the files. That is what I tested it in. If it doesn't work in Edge or Chrome then use FF. Also key is do one download at a time. It seems the wayback machine doesn't like trying to hit more than one at a time.

This download page is from 2016 because in 2017 they added protection to stop webcrawlers from archiving the site. Those links and even the download page later in 2017 you can't get to.

I tested all of the files from the link above and they work.

Thanks from me as well.. I've just downloaded all the PW sceneries.
Would FSwaterconfigurator work with P3Dv4,5? I'm sure that the scenery should work.
