Dear Mr Ito,

I am not sure if you read the forums here when you are not busy, but I thought if you would consider creating the very rare Navy F-111B TFX fighter bomber for FS9, it took me awhile just to find pictures of it on the net..but I did, it was shown during its carrier trials on the USS Coral Sea back in the 1960's, it is differant from the F-111F (Air Force) it had a shorter nose, the Navy did not like the plane at all. The Martin XB-48 Bomber was their entry into the USAF Bomber buy compitition in 1949..I think, it had a straight wing with I think 4 or 6 engines and had landing gear like the B-47, only two were made. Thank You For any future interest in these two little known planes.

Cheers

I was thinking about Mr. Ito just the other day as I was reading an issue of PC Pilot. I always liked his a/c models as they had a distinctive look to them and he was so obliging in building them on request. My favorite FS9 a/c is the XF-85 Goblin. He even made a personal modification in it that I asked him about.

A real good person and his talent and work are sorely missed....

Roger that! so true. :salute:

Yes, failing eye sight forced Mr. Ito to stop producing FS models...just as it forced him out of his veterinary medicine career. Yes, Mr. Ito was a veterinarian.

Ito was one of the most prolific modelers going for FS. The list of aircraft/space craft he modeled is amazing. I overlooked many of his models because I did not know that he began doing VCs much earlier than I had thought. Once I discovered just how many of his planes had working virtual cockpits, I grabbed them all and started the thread on tweaking the FDEs on these (and the rest of his packages for that matter) to make sure that his library of wonderful work does not fade into obscurity. Ito did planes that no other modeler has touched, and he did many models before the payware developers did them.

I hope that Mr. Ito and his family are safe and sound following the earth quake, tsunami and nuclear disaster that struck his home nation of Japan.

All the best to Ito San. Life presents some serious challenges at times and I hope that he can make the most of this one.
