December 7, 1941 Japans Forces attacked naval base Pearl Harbor Hawaii

Pearl Harbor is a harbor on the island of Oʻahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu. Much of the harbor and surrounding lands is a United States Navy deep-water naval base. It is also the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. The attack on Pearl Harbor by the Empire of Japan on December 7, 1941, brought the United States into World War II.

Those of us who grew up with fathers who were WWII vets, know that date well. My dad never let me forget.
 
...as well as the generation whose father's were kids at the time. My Dad took me to the inauguration of the USS Arizona memorial at the State Capital in 1976. Pulled me out of school and took me down to listen to people speak about that day and that ship. Dad was the best. :salute:


It's on us now to maintain the history.
