Terry

SOH-CM-2016
Got all my decorations up, no ladder, staple gun, tangled wire, or burned out bulbs. And it only took a minute! :wiggle:

The tree I found here a year or two back. It's from the Wright brothers home. I thought the newer members might like it.

Terry,...wonderful photo of a Christmas tree long time past. No fancy wrappings,....simple but loving decorations on the tree,...all gifts (probably) paid with cash,...not with credit cards. And the Spirit of Christmas is captured so well in the photo. Thanks for sharing.

I love it!

Thanks for sharing! :running:

Nice...really nice. That must be one of the first BB-Guns peaking through the branches there.

Great Shots...

Thanks for sharing the pics Terry. I really love the old Christmas tree. I have a 4 foot tree that I put up for myself every couple of years....and decorate it the way I like to....very simply with a Victorian feel to it...wooden ornaments, velvet bows, simple blown-glass decorations.

My wife has our TV turned to the Music on Demand channel for a few hours each day....the Sounds of the Season channel...so she can hear Christmas music. Along the top or bottom of the screen, little trivia facts will be shown. Yesterday one of those trivia facts was about the BB gun. The first spring action BB gun was introduced in 1886. I never would have thought that the BB gun was that old.

OBIO

I never noticed the gun until you gentlemen mentioned it. Considering it was the turn of the century and people were not afraid of firearms, perhaps it's a rifle, I can't tell.

Obio, your old tree sounds really nice. Take good care of it.
