'DEM8_18.zip' question

SOH-CM-2024
Hello boys and girls. I have a problem with 'DEM8_18.zip' scenery and I'm hoping a good soul here may be able to help me.

I have D/ld 'DEM8_18.zip' for the '354th. Fighter Group in WWII' campaign by our very own Captain Kurt.

I was pointed to; http://www.sim-outhouse.com/downloads/download.php?lloc=downloads&FileID=13756
and no problem there.

The 'DEM8_18 fix' pointed me to: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=45&id=4041

a different file I.D. - but D/lds as 'DEM8_18.zip'

My question is; is there a fix for 'Dem_18' or is it included in the .zip?

Now I have a spider spanning a web between the P.C. screen and the end of my nose....

Many thanks in advance for the answer,

Graham.

DEM4m00b_8.bgl Fix?

Hi Graham

I can't remember the contents of 'DEM8_18.zip', however, I remember that one of the files, DEM4m00b_8.bgl, was corrupt and had a 'fix'.
The contents of the 'fix' folder had the DEM4m00b_8.bgl and the following instructions.

The WWII LOD8 mesh data for CFS2.
The BGLs should be installed to a folder such as:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\MyCFS2Scenery\DEM8\scenery"
This file is a DEM correction of DEM4m00b_8.bgl
Please rename the original DEM4m00b_8.bgl as DEM4m00b_8.bgl.old to deactivate it,
and copy DEM4m00b_8.bgl to it's folder as a replacement. Deleting filename.dat will force a reloading of the scenery.

This may be of help to you (or then again, it may not)
