Dewoitine 520 and Robin 221

Hi Guys and gals! Seasons greetings to you all !Re Fe Francophones, If you are checking out the scenery ,take a look at these two stunning little gems - A D520 and a Robin 221-("telecharger" is the download button en francais)- links below, you won't be disappointed! I've got my Chrissy presents early. http://simuvol.free.fr/Fichiers/DR 221-2004.exe, http://simuvol.free.fr/Fichiers/D520fs2004.exe, http://simuvol.free.fr/Fichiers/patch (2) Dr221.exe, http://simuvol.free.fr/Fichiers/patch (1) Dr221.exe

While I would unreservedly recommand the Robin (Carenado like VC) and a convincing flight model, The 520 is alas a much older effort and although a state of the art pice of freeware when initially released has no grown a bit ...old.

I am loving this Robin! Brilliant little model. I will be logging a ton of time on my baby. Might have to give it a custom LHC paint scheme. :d

How do you get the cowling to come off????

My notes for this plane say that Shift+E+2 opens the cowling, / opens the oil check flap and G moves the passenger seat. Also I think that if you click the joystick button in the VC you get the ATC window. But I can't verify all this becasue I haven't yet re-installed this plane since my hard drive crash! I loved it so much it used to be my 'default' plane though.

Speaking of French A/C, I seem to remember a very nice MB.152 from somewhere. I'm not referring to Mr. Ito's version, but one from a French site. Does anyone remember this or have a link to it?

I think the one your thinking of is on www.restauravia.com. At least thats where I got mine!:costumes:

Chris

After looking on the site I can't seem to find the downloads. So try this link instead: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://simuvol.free.fr/site/%3Fp%3D259&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=5&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3DBLOCH%2B152%2Brestauravia%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

The Dewoitine D520 is the one by Jean-Marie Mermaz. I can't recall Skyunlimited ever had a D520.

Still a great model after all these years!

Most probably the best Bloch MB.152 available is the payware one by EFSIM. Take a look here: ==> link to EFSIM

Definitely the best freeware one is the one by Reastauravia, which you can find here ==> link to Restauravia Bloch MB.152
(it is advertised as an FSX model, however it is not compatible with SP2 or accelaration.)

Mr Ito made did a nice MB.151 as well, which is actually quite nice in combination with the mods done by Morten.

Cheers,
Huub

Falcon,

Well, dang.. Now the oil check door will not close with Control/Shift/C or ...V It worked last night. Crazy. Maybe not on Sundays...

If you use the small switch that says 'manual / auto' on the panel (small rocker button) that will raise and lower the door via dragging the mouse up and down.

Cool to see a engine done in 3D. Awesome work here. I am loving this bird.

I whipped out some AI flights for the Robin DR221 and DR400 (as well as a Bucker and Fanliner, heh heh). Rigged them up between LFBK - LFCE, and also a loop at EDTQ - EDTN, (last one is Pattonville with a small strip near by about 18 NM away).

What a great find , this French GA Aircraft. Having no issues with it, although I did notice that after installing the updates, the aircraft folder shows many new liveries, but within FS only one shows, perhaps an aircraft cfg. fix ..

Anyhow, love it nonetheless!

Cheers! Mike :wavey:

In Patch2 the new aircraft.cfg is listed as aircraft.x. It has what you want, just rename to cfg.

On my Robin key / opens the oil door.
See my post above for my notes on keystrokes for the Robin. Regards Frog
