Did I receive the right OFF disk?

Guys,

My OFF/BHAH DVD arrived today. On the disk, and on the file when I started to load it up, I noticed it says "Version 1.0."

On the receipt from Avangate it says:

Backup DVD Quantity: 1

I believe I've read there were earlier versions of OFF: 1.0 and 2.0; and that now everyone is using Phase 3.

I thought I ordered the newest and best version of the game.

Did I get sent the wrong disk, or is this the right one that everyone else has? :help:

Thanks,

TVO

Yes, no worries - you have version 1 of Phase 3 "Between Heaven and Hell". Phase 1 and 2 were earlier and free release of OFF. What you have is the very latest version.

Once installed patch it to the latest released patch at the OBD site (version 1.25 I think). It will patch your copy to include all patches released so far.

Enjoy :wiggle:

Yep...get a good sleep...and then strap yourself in for the ride of your life!..haha

Thanks! But I had to work today and didn't get it installed yet. :frown:

I do have some questions from my experimentation last night, though. :help:

I noticed when I started loading OFF/BHAH last night, it asks for CFS3. I expected that, but....

1. Should I remove the OFF/BHAH disk, insert the CFS3 disk, and load all of CFS3; then go back to finish loading OFF/BHAH?

2. Or should I just start by loading CFS3 into the computer, and then load OFF/BHAH?

3. Is there a tutorial here that covers the installation process, step by step?

4. How do I know which CFS3 disk is Disk #1 when neither is marked in the XPLOSIV version? (I started with the one on the left side of the plastic case; did I guess correctly?)

Thanks in advance.

Prost! :ernae:

1. Yes if you have a newish CFS3 (it will already be v3.1) then you do not actually "load CFS3". In other words don't install it, if it's own autorun menu appears just cancel that..

OFF installer just wants to verify the CD and then copy some important core files from it. When it is done, you remove the CFS3 disk and insert OFF.

2. If you have an older CFS3 then you will need to install, and patch to V3.1 instead.

Please see the FAQ at the top

4. Good question nicely done in Xplosive one eh? Likely as you described, but you will soon find out which is wrong it will likely tell you anyway.

Thanks Polovski, I should be able to make it from here.

And about Xplosiv...Yeah. Weird, huh? I've never seen a double disk set that didn't specify one from two. Surprised someone didn't catch that before it went into production. :kilroy:

Prost! :ernae:

Slightly off topic TVO but do you own that Luscombe? If you do I envy you lots. She's a beauty! I love this plane. And welcome to OFF btw. You're in for a treat.

Xplosive are utter crap!

RB3D does'nt mod if you use them..and now they've screwed CFS3
