do i need to buy new controllers?

ok,ive gotten everything together for my controller stand ect, went to start setting up the controllers.."mapping" them?......i use all CH products, eclipse yoke, two quads, and peddles, but im wondering if i need to change to saitek equipment.

as i began today,i had all 4 units connected,i then calibrated them each one at the time, using the ch products manager, then i went into FSX,made sure everything was clear..not assignments in FSX,i then brought up a plane, clicked on the box to do just that plane..then i got the elevators, ailerons, rudder and the two throttle levers,i went to do the mixture, number 1..and it wont show as connected...so i went back started all over again..tested everything in FSX.using FSUIPC,and then only three of the 6 levers work on both quads....ive done this over and over today and im at my wits end...but if i were to just buy new saitek yoke,throttles,peddles..and id have to have the cessna trim wheel, would i be guaranteed they will work?

OR is whats happening to me a product of the "vista 32 OS"?,i still havent the money to upgrade my PC yet...but id still like to fly.

so i went back started all over again..tested everything in FSX.using FSUIPC

I don't quite understand if it FSUIPC that you're trying to set up or not.
If so, the way I did it is calibrate everything in Windoze, assign everything in FSX and then slowly activate something in FSUIPC and then deactivate it in FSX. I have CHPro throttle stick & pedals and it all works great. Changing to another manufacturer isn't going to change the way your assignments are handled.
I unchecked "controllers" the first time I messed with it and found nothing worked. There is a lot of stuff that you won't be assigning in FSUIPC and will still be active in FSX, so disabling "everything" to start with is not a good idea.

i understand what you are saying..but the only thing i find i need to leave in setting within FSX is the pan view on the yoke.everything else i want to use in in fsuipc,in the past,i left the rudder peddles alone, left them mapped in FSX..but then the weight of its own peddle would leave the left side break dragging all the time.

i think i will unplug every thing and just start over..using FSX to program all my axis, and then FSUIPC to map some of the things i want that FSX setting dont have.

My rudder pedals with the FSX settings would always make the stab flutter a little and more than not go off center and the plane would fly slightly tilted to the right. After assigning all axis' to FSUIPC, it stays dead center and no flutter. I thought I was going to have to take the pedals apart and clean the contacts.
I have Windoze 8 and there's a phenomenon where FSX will suddenly lose it's controllers during flight, not even a listing in Windoze. This is what drove me to use FSUIPC as the work-around.
I started by completely assigning everything I normally use in FSX. Then in FSUIPC, I assigned all the axis functions first. As I did them, I then disabled them indiviually in FSX and then tested. After that I just assigned anything I normally use, again disabling them in FSX. Any keyboard assignments in FSX I left alone, disabling only the controller assignment.
I love my CHPro stuff and have been using CH stuff since the mid 90's, yup, there was flight simming then, and virtual air combat... Air Warrior. :)
