• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Do Ya' Wanna Feel Old?

First pair: they killed the ivy that clings to the wall; Walt wore a tie - the crowd 'now' wears WalMart dress suits

Second: Like railroads and airlines today, passenger equipment has been replaced by cattle cars. Now we have recycling bins

Third: name on the building is gone (corporate change?) but there are still guys in Derby hats and funny shirts

Fourth: Like me, the trees have grown up -- and out

Fifth: center part of the building grew - as have the trees

and the list goes on...

Sadly, there is one common thing about all the "Now" photos -

Walt's not there any more :engel016:

I remember feeling a great sadness when I heard Walt Disney had died. A lifetime of cigarette smoking ended his life all too soon.

Thank you..great Memories...This fantasy Disney world I hope endures forever...,The world needs more worlds like this!.

I miss the Skyway, I love cable car rides. :frown:

I loved Epcot.
I know, I know, artificial world's fair to the cynical minded, but we always had a great time when we went.
Always loved how the different cultures had their presentations.
Especially the Japanese Pavillion's drummers.
And the Canadian pavilion...

Still love Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
It'll always be one of my favorite coasters,(probably because I love trains too).
