Do you ever have a bad landing?

I wonder if you ever have a bad landing in cfs2 or in the civil sims. I often do, esp. when I am in a hurry.

The man in the image seems to be enjoying things.

I wish the sims had the engine to make such instances possible.

Jeffey Quill in his book on testing Spitfires narrates he once crashed his Spitfire and came to a stop inside the living room of a country cottage and the old lady who lived there came out of the kitchen with a cup of tea in her shaking hands and said; "Hpw about a cup of tea, sir?", while Jeffrey was still in the cockpit of the smashed Spit.

You can see the Mickey Mouse sqn insigina and the yellow nose here. Scheme is probablu splinter of two greens with light blue unders (hellblau), probably 1940 or early 1941 sometime.

Any repaints of this one around?

Cheers

Jinx,

Just remember: any landing you can walk away from is a good landing! I've had many "good" landings myself! :mixedsmi:

Recently I couldn´t stop a Gladiator II until I was half a mile from the landing strip in Greece!! And I couldn´t get it to turn around!! So I failed the mission after getting down two bombers! :crybaby:

Jinx,

Adolph Galland had the Mickey Mouse insignia on his bf-109E. This could be his plane. As for the pilot, it's definitely not Galland. Seems as though this picture might have been staged afterwards since the damage to the plane looks quite severe LOL.

Wolf,

I thought the picture was staged too. The man in the cock[it is in spotless uniform etc, and he is looking towards the camera.

The a/c may be from Galland's unit, but I am not sure it is his mount.

Best Regards,

Nick
