Does your ocean water look like this ?

Well, it doesn't move like that but texture/colorwise REX can get you close to that.

That is pretty sweet looking. I'm still waiting for virtual surfer to come out, DUDE! :Banane09:

My water moves, looks more exquisite in DX10, but still moves in DX9. Lemme see if I can do some morning chores, take a flight and record it. Screen captures cannot do it justice.

Sure don't look like dat though Moe! :jawdrop:

Dat water looked BLUE...aryone nose dat water is BROWN...

I didn't see no fishies or plastic bottles and Styrofoam floating around. It ain't real looking, Moe Sorry ;)

And will any of our existing cards be compatible with DX11?

Why shouldn't they?

Of course you won't have any benefits from 11s new shaders and whatever it will include..., but DirectX has always been backwards compatible.

Exactly....in order to see these you'll need a new DX11 graphics card, when they become available. DX11 won't mean anything to FSX as it's not a DX11 game platform.

It isn't even a DX10 platform let alone a DX11 platform. It barely happens to "work" in DX10. Rumor has it that the new Nvidia GTX300 series will have DX11 support but I think it will probably wait one more generation of cards, closer to Windows 7's release. I don't see Windows 7 coming out much earlier than the holidays this year, if that.

Dat's Miss'Sippi brown Coonass, da real ocean be blue! :d
