A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Scenery Add-Ons

Description: This is the City and Port of Venice, Italy, with both an airfield and seaplane base created by Kdriver, and uses new library objects by Robert John to provide a more realistic representation of this city.

It is important to note that both Dominique Herbal (“Dombral”) and Kevin Driver (“Kdriver”) are the primary architects of these layouts, not myself. I did make some contributions to the ports in Venice & Marghara, as well as the creation of this package, but Dombral was the original designer of much of this scenery. Releasing this is an homage to the quality of his scenery work that often draws little attention.

This is one of two uploads that will contain scenery created primarily by Dominique "dombral" Herbal.

Several users have given a lot of time and energy creating objects that are used in this GSL scenery. Thanks go to Wolfi, Pen32Win, Xavierb, Brunosk, Davmag, Gius, Canion, Kdriver, Usio, Robert John, and Cees Donker. Many thanks go out to all of them for their generosity and selflessness.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Scenery Add-Ons

Description: This is the readme and installation guide for the City of Pisa, Italy, including a nearby airfield from Achim27619 with new library objects by Robert John to provide a more realistic representation of this city.

It is important to note that both RJ Sprackland (“Robert John”) and Kevin Driver (“Kdriver”) are the ones who built the city and new objects for this endeavor; my additions to this package are minimal, only consisting of this readme.

Several users have given a lot of time and energy creating objects that are used in this GSL scenery. Thanks go to Wolfi, Pen32Win, Xavierb, Brunosk, Gius, Gary20, Canion, Kdriver, Lindsay Watt, Achim27619, & Robert John. Many thanks go out to all of them for their generosity and selflessness.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Scenery Add-Ons

Description: This is the town of Cassino, Italy. This Mediterranean scenery package also includes the monastery/fortress of Monte Cassino. The town is located at N 41’30”, E 13’50.”

The scenery folder included in this package is the land class for Monte Cassino, which is located just west of the town of Cassino, Italy. The town of Cassino is located about forty miles north-northwest of Capodichino, the closest airfield.
This package was originally included in the 2015 Tuskegee Airmen overhaul, but it’s being uploaded separately as part of the Italian scenery packages being released in June, 2018 since it was never released separately.

Several users have given a lot of time and energy creating objects that are used in this GSL scenery. Thanks go to Wolfi, Pen32Win, Xavierb, Brunosk, Gius, Gary20, Canion, and Lindsay Watt. Many thanks go out to all of them for their generosity and selflessness.

Fabulous work from all. Gotta love the Pisa scenery. Any chance of green ground texture for the Campo area (piazza of Miracles) in the Cathedral precinct? This is outstanding work. Many thanks for all the time and expertise which went into all this.:applause:
Out of curiosity, when the roof or dome of a building is textured, is it possible to have two different colours on parts of the roof or dome?

Complete with roads through the town this is truly a beautiful work. Thank you Rami and Jean Bomber. Can't wait to see this up close. Hopefully the monastery is destroyable. :biggrin-new:.

Yes you can texture a dome in many colours.
I kept the dome for the baptistery simple.

Dombral_Mediterranean_Scenery_suite released!

186215288940144695.jpg

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Scenery Add-Ons

Description: This is Dombral’s Mediterranean Scenery Suite. In this package, you will find a total of fourteen new Mediterranean ports in seven different countries, and a further eight towns in these countries as well.

Kdriver has been generous enough to provide seven seaplane takeoff points to allow you to enjoy much of the scenery up close.

This GSL scenery for France, Italy, and North Africa will be utilized in the Battle of France when the action shifts to the south.

It is important to note that Dombral is the primary architect of this package, not myself. I did make some contributions to the ports in this package, but Dombral was the original designer of much of this scenery. Releasing this is an homage to the quality of his scenery work that often draws little attention.

Thanks go to Wolfi, Pen32Win, Xavierb, Brunosk, Davmag, Gius, Canion, Kdriver, Usio, Tobob, Canion, Gary20, Allen, Lindsay Watt, and Cees Donker. Many thanks go out to all of them for their generosity and selflessness.

Good morning,

As the locker clean out continues, I have released a Mediterranean scenery package featuring the work of Dombral. The ports included in this package center primarily along the Northern Italian and Southern French coastlines, including Toulon, Marseille, Imperia, Porto Maurizio, Savona, Vido Ligure, Frejus, and Saint-Raphael.

However, this scenery also includes Algiers, Algeria, Safi, Morocco, Bizerte, Tunisia, Djibouti City, Djibouti, and Syracuse. (Sicily)

There are a few additional towns in France or airbase modifications that have been included as "Easter eggs."

Enjoy!

Good evening,

I uploaded another update; this time it is an update to my Mediterranean ports package. Instead of twenty-one ports, there are now thirty-three; this includes additional scenery from the Balkans as well as other locations.

Here are the locations...

Albania: Durazzo, Valona.

Algeria: Bejaia, Bone.

Crete: Canea, Heraklion, Retimo, Souda Bay.

Egypt: Alexandria, Port Said.

Greece: Astipalea, Athens, Chalkida, Corfu, Khalkis, Salmais, Thessaloniki, Volos.

Italy: Naples, Trieste.

Leros: Ag Marina, Lakkion.

Libya: Benghazi, Derna, Tobruk, Tripoli.

Sardinia: Cagliari, Olbia.

Sicily: Palermo, Licata, Messina, Sciacca.

Tunisia: Tunis.

The last package of scenery to complete is Rome; this should (hopefully) be uploaded by Friday.

After discussions with Kdriver, we decided only to include hyperlinks for the scenery packages, because it is not a campaign update.

Rami: Working my way through your list of what I'll need.....Under required objects.

Numbers 4 and 5... Canion's ETO.

This is for my Med scenery theater only.... so can't I apply your previous note on Tobob's La Rochelle and forget installing the scenery? Looks to be all UK and Northern Europe related.

Worthless,

Absolutely correct, yes you can. Thanks for pointing out that lack of clarity, I will correct it forthwith. :very_drunk:
