Don`t shoot at the red cross!

A boy - no matter how old - needs a toy for X-Mas is my opinion.
Best would be one, that makes some sound, blinks alot and you can move it around!

I am sorry, I am a bit late this year to bring you my X-Mas present, but shortly before the 24. the girl had other plans what to do with our days. However with some delay, today I received an email with a grateful "GO!" to upload my conversion of the nicest FS2004 Huey ever!

I opened a thread about the MD 500 Chopper a few moons ago.
At that time, I was deeper into helicopters and I grabbed all I can get.

If one thinks of a Helicopter, directly the Bell 204/205 or UH-1 comes to mind - at least for me. I was so hooked back then, that I nearly bought me an RC-chopper. Only this virtual model hold me back and saved me some 100 € !

It is the most convincing Huey I have seen. Nice shape, virtual cockpit and has this typical sound - amazing.
For RC-Choppers, there is also so much extras available - like extra LEDs to blink here and there.

Of course I wanted to have that too and put a nice effect together bundled to the VC-light for perfect use in CFS2.

This one has all it needs to be the perfect chopper. It comes with all needed to be used in CFS2 incl. a new skin made by me after the attached pic, based on existing work.
Only the *.dp file is one I stole from an existing one and deleted the weapons. The damage boxes probably don`t fit the model, but this is OK for me.

Enough words. Here are some pics. I do final work and pack it together upload ASAP, so you can play with it in the first days of the next year. It is very handsome and easy to fly as well.

Jaxon,

Looking forward to the Huey. She was a great bird over several decades. We've got some good AI Hogs and Slicks by Tango Romeo, so it'll be nice to have a flyable one too.

It is the perfect addition to these AI birds.

You will love the Huey, I am sure!

BTW: I have just uploaded the *.zip and the Huey now only waits to be approved.

Huey

Thanks Jaxon! What a great New Year's gift to the Faithful.

I hate to date myself, but like all old soldiers, yourself too I'm sure, I've got a lot of hours in a Huey. From air assault to parachuting to medevac to transportation, the Huey did it all.

The Japanese Defense Force comes over to train at Fort Lewis and Yakima Training Center every couple of years and they still fly Hueys. The sight and sound of all those Hueys with Cobra escorts really brings back the memories of Eagle flights and air cavalry operations.

Well, it's "showtime" in Thua Thien Provence, RVN, circa 1971.

Great bird Jaxon !
As always, Thanx for your contributions & sharing your fine work with the rest of us!

Nope. I meant your AI Choppers and this as player version, just like it is to see on Jagds screenie.

.....I see, said the blind man. :wavey:

I was thinking: no source file, no AI. :173go1:

I served with the 1rst AD in Germany in the mid 70's and remember the huey's and cobra's flying top cover for us.The Luffwaffe would fly into our base sometimes with their medivac huey's and boy, they were some crazy dudes the way they flew.

Out of context.....

Hey, that leaflet doesn't just say 'Don't shoot at the Red Cross'. It says 'Don't shoot at the Red Cross; lead it by three fuselage lengths'. :costumes:
