• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Donationware project

Jon, you are a master of understatement! I haven't bought many, to be frank, but I've been disappointed more than once. Either they are total rubbish, or poorly converted FS?/CFS2, or missing odd bits such as mos files.

My top favourite payware aircraft are the Bear Studios La-9/11 series. They are in the top bracket of payware aircraft, with the Firepower and SU ones.

Not to be confused with the AH version, which is... well... er, freeware now anyway.

But as I said above, if The Ted Aircraft Co.Ltd is producing a donationware aircraft, I'll buy it whatever it is.

I just have a concern though. Last time I contributed for SOH using Paypal I had my credit card cloned. It would be swell if there could be another way to make the money arrive to the model's maker.

I second this request. It should be possible NOT to use paypal; I had the same thing happen to me. Fortunately, the credit card issuer caught the odd purchases at 3:00 AM, and called me to ask if I had made them. At 3:00 AM.

Both they and Western Union asked if I used PayPal, and I said yes, and while they didn't come right out and say it, certainly indicated strongly that they were observing a connection between heisted cards and PayPal use. So, I fired them. and they can't think why.
 
Ted this seems simple to me, make it donationware and if people want one they can buy it. Many people won't tell you to make it payware because they want it for free. However if you make it donationware more people than you think will buy it because they can't have one unless they pay and because there are no other P-61's for CFS3. I will be first in line to pay 10 dollars, it will be worth your while, do it brutha!
