I knew a guy once that bought his wife a Beretta 16ga Over/under shotgun for Christmas. I don't think I need to say what else happened.
 
I gave my better 3/4rs a new water heater once for an anniversary present . . .
we still laugh about it.

Been married a long time.
 
We each pick out what we want, and the other one pays for it. It's the best way to avoid 'misunderstandings.' :mixedsmi: This year she got jewelry and I got a set of professional-grade kitchen knives. :applause:
 
Yep...

There are times when I miss 'not' being alone, and then I watch something like that 'Dog House' youtube movie, and I am suddenly greatful.

Have you guys noticed that if we buy the wrong gift not only are we in the doghouse, but it can return to haunt you 20 years later, but when the wife buys you that lovely pink dayglow sweater, you are expected to pretend you love the ugly thing. Even 20 years later if you are caught using it for a shop rag the wife will break down in tears saying you do not love her because you do not like her gift.
















Sorry, rant from a past marriage.
