..I'd sure like to figure out how to fix this....

Everytime I approach the Seattle Area I get some blurries and this happens.

This is what it should look like.

This scenery problem just surfaced a month ago, and I cannot figure out what changed on my system.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on where to look.

Have you added any new traffic files recently ?? I have had the localized Blurries in the past because of a single AI planes texture that simply wrecked my graphic cards ability to cope.
If you set the traffic slider to zero and the problem goes away that would be a good hint at least.

Cheers

The only new AI came with the new Duxford scenery. That whole package is so FPS friendly, I don't think that is the cause.

I suspect I maybe pushing my old video card and computer to the max. If I go to spot view and pause the sim, the textures will load but very, very slowly. Sometimes I don't notice it, but other times its a hassle. I do have a hotkey that reloads the textures, but I'd rather be flying than refreshing the image all the time when I get near Seattle.

I've also been doing a lot of flying with the VRS Superbug. Me thinks that some a/c with the complex gauges has an impact on scenery loading. If I fly the Superbug in different areas, I don't seem to have the problems I'm encountering with the Seattle area - which is set to the photorealistic settings.

Thanks

I get a similar global glitch when I fly around KOAK. A screen flicker then all looks like FS4 with blurred smudgy textures on land and sea but perfect clouds. Often it reloads veerry slowly and can sometimes be instantly perfect if I switch from spot to cockpit view. I figure it's an addon texture issue but haven't the patience yet to investigate. I just pretend my glasses fell off and try not to hit anything until I find them again.:icon_lol:

It's a pain in the b**t, but I've been having the same problems, lately. I've been updating my scenery and aircraft add-ons, a lot, and after adding something, just go fly. I get a lot of effects like yours, as well as jitters and long pauses, and other anomolies. When I finally get smart and shut down the sim, do a quick two step defrag, I have Ultimate Defrag V3, doing fragmented files, then consolidate files, then reboot computer. After that, flights are smooth and almost all anomolies are gone.

Just what I have to do to get rid of them.

Re: Same

Try uninstalling the scenery and see if it clears up, if so you'll know it's the new scenery. if not then you
have other problems. :)
