Door problems?

Hi all,
recently, I have not been able to open any doors except for the main ones. I used to be able to do it just fine, but it won't work anymore. anybody know of a fix for this? Any help would be appreciated.

With all the animated pilot figures these days, it is hard to get the shift+E, 2 to work because of other events interrupting the process.

You would be better off to just re-assign the second doors to a keyboard sequence.
Go to Options/Controls/Assignments and after the Select Exit, find Select Item 2 or 3 and assigna KB sequence like Shift_R or Cntrl_R.

...also, make sure you aren't parked next to a fueling station! The trigger box is too large and will block the door operations... :wiggle:

I never thought that it was in the 'select item' commands...obvious in retrospect, though. They didn't even have any assignments listed, so I gave them 1-4. It works beautifully now. Thanks Milton! :salute::ernae:

Milton, this is stupid but I can't figure out how to do this....

I go into controls and assignments, but am only offered the one door (SHIFT + E).

I cannot see how to connect the SELECT button to the door.

Well, this example is in FS2004, but maybe you have similar.

In FSX, you can assign a door to a joystick button, or use the KB as intended.

Example shows using a joystick, button 5. The way this works is you use Shift+E, then hit button 5. Works the same with the default 2,3,4 keys.

Not sure this will address your issue or not.
