Dormouse Bridge

*Shakes head in bewilderment*

I did learn something, however. I thought it was "doormice."

Quote:
"The edible dormouse was considered a delicacy in ancient Rome, either as a savoury appetizer or as a dessert (dipped in honey and poppy seeds). The Romans had a special kind of enclosure known as glirarium used to rear dormice for the table.... Dormice to this day are eaten in Slovenia. Dormouse fat was used by the Elizabethans to induce sleep."
Yummy, and good night!

Hehe, they're kinda cute little guys, aren't they? :d Considering all the wasteful spending our US government has indulged in, I'm not about to throw stones at a dormouse bridge in the UK. I'm just wondering... how do they get the word out to the dormice to use the bridge instead of dodging vehicles???

Hmmm.

I would think a vacuum tube system would have been better and more cost effective.
Kinda like the drive-up banks use, only no need for the plastic carrier.
Just let the dormouse fly free...

"Sssssssss....pfffffhhhhht....THUNK!" :icon_twi:
