Two heads ups concerning the DO335 by Crash Woody.

1) Morton has uploaded some outstanding skins for the plane over in the CFS2 library (not yet available..at least not the last time I looked). Superb artwork! I do not know if the skins for the CFS2 335 will work on the FS2004 335....I have never had the CFS2 version installed. Need to grab it before it is gone.

2) I once again mutated one of Lawdog's sound packs to "create" a "new" sound pack for the DO335. Starting with his DB603 sound pack, I tweaked the sound.cfg file to reflect a twin engine set up. Really makes the 335 sound nice inside and out. The sound pack was uploaded to the CFS2 Sound library a little bit ago..so I am not sure when it will be available for downloading.

Morton's skins look super nice on the DO335. I have the pack from Flightsim.com installed in FS2004 and the pack from Simviation.com installed in CFS2....Morton's skins work on either package. He even repainted the interior bits and did up a new 2D panel for the plane.

Have to admit that I was skeptical when I saw it was a CFS aircraft. . .I wasn't expecting much and aside from Ito's version I hadn't even considered Simtech's until now. I am impressed OBIO, great job on your part and with Morton's work, this is a real sweet ride. Well done to both of you!!:applause::icon29::applause:
 
Morton's CFS2 skins will also work on the FS2004 versions. There is a package on Simviation.com that has the FS2004 and CFS2 versions. And there is a package on Flightsim.com that is an updated FS2004 model...not as much shine on it as the one on Simviaton.com. Very well done plane all around....like every SimTech aircraft I have flown.

Tim, I can not seem to find the updated fs2004 model at flightsim.com - do you have a file name? Thanks in advance. Ed
 
Thanks, found them this time. Very strange, I did a search and didn't find two of the three before you gave me the names. So much for search engines (smile).

I have taken the MDL for the DO335 into Martin Wright's MDLmaterial and recolored the canopy glass from blue to gray...and the result is a huge improvement.

Because I have not obtained permission from Crash Woody to upload this tweaked MDL, I won't be uploading it....at least not until I do obtain his permission...which might take a while as it seems he has some real life issues that preclude his involvement in sim related items.

If any of you know how to use MDLmaterial, I would suggest you give this tweak a go. It really improves the DO335.
