If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Douglas Skystreak

Hi Craig,

Looks like an interesting project. According to Wikipedia, two of these aircraft are housed in museums, one in Charlotte. NC and the other in Pensacola, FL. Maybe they can help you with that need? We were fortunate to find pictures thanks to a museum volunteer who searched archives for us on the Beech 28 Grizzly. But maybe someone can actually snap a few reference pics for you.

Good luck.

Hello Full,

I'm a huge fan of all things NACA, KEDW, etc. I'm working on an updated (retrograded?) KEDW for 1950 - but I'm SO stoked you're doing the the D-558-1. That is honestly, a dream come true.

I'd love to help - I don't have any modelling skills, but if you need some technical data, I can offer you the loan of this book:

http://www.amazon.ca/Skystreak-Skyrocket-Stiletto-High-Speed-X-Planes/dp/1580070841

You may have it, but if you don't, I think it's the authoritative source for the type. Anything else I can do, please let me know - I'll try and help in any way I can.

Regards,

dl
