There is de Havilland Dove from Classic British Flight Sim, the readme say something about a VC updated that is in the works. Just wondering if anybody has heard of anything?? :kilroy:

By the way, i got it from Simviation.

Their model is good but doen not have a VC. A Puerto Rican guy did a 4-engined Dove for Prinair with a virtual cabin and cockpit, but he put bitmaps in the VC, no real instrumentation.

But I feel that if he kindly shares is source files, one of us can make a decent vc and upload it as freeware.

Derek Palmers Dove for Fs9 will never have a VC as its an intinsic part of the model and it was not including however it is the finest Dove model available
The "Four engined Dove!!! <sic> is a Heron and Derek is presently working on a beautiful Heron in both fixed gear and retractable versions -- I dont think however he will ever stoop to the Lycoming engined abomination. You can see screens shots of the Heron at www.cbfs.org

The only Heron that I could find doesn't have a VC, could someone provide a link. The one that you posted RyDraiggoch doesn't work. :icon_lol::kilroy:

Here is the link

And I will type this again slowly........Derek Palmers' Heron is still in pre beta
phase it hasn't been released yet. However there are some screenshots of the work in progress at Classic British Flight Sim --- but I dont beleive you will find that it has a VC either.

Cheers

Sorry bud, I heard you the first time. I was talking about the Heron in my last post. I'm well aware by now that I won't find a Dove that I want. :icon_lol:

Awesome flight sim plane!

I love the auto-pilot system as well. Easy to manage, yet so totally different from most auto-pilots.

Aside from it not having a VC, Derek did an brilliant job with the cabin screenshots.

The "Lycoming engined abomination" of the Heron was mentioned. Have you seen the lengthened, cabin heightened, PT6 engined 19 seat Saunders ST27 conversion of the Heron? Only 14 built. I've tried attaching a link to airliners.net pictures, but I am not doing it right. You can find it quickly enough if you're interested. It's worth a look.

Anyway, I like the looks of the Heron/Dove. Hard to explain why some aircraft just seem appealing.
