Truth be known, the most reliable and profitable American auto maker, Ford, is the one behind the eight-ball.
Ed, way back when, I was a Mopar man, but after owning a Chrysler Town & Country and having the transmission go south in less than 15,000 miles and with a dealership that said they replaced the tranny under warrenty, only to have it go south again this past Saturday (less than 3 weeks after being replaced) in the middle of a busy street, when I was in most need as I was co-directing a 5K race, I don't care if Chrysler goes totally bottoms up, they make sheet automobiles these days and there is nothing FIAT or Lancia can do about it. Like Daimler, they'll driop the company or go under within 5 years. I had the *** towed to the dealer, who was not open. I will be taking the keys to them tomorrow and I am going to tell them to fix it and sell it, take their commission and give me the rest. If I ever buy another American automobile, it will be Ford. I've own three Chevys too and have never got one paid off without some major repair. Owned three Hondas, not one problem whatsoever. My next vehicle will more than likely be another Honda Fit as my oldest son will be taking mine away next year!
Brian France is in control now, not the two Bills, who were dominate GM people. No doubt Ford will be the first to gripe though and ask for a level table. That's all BS, catch up or fall out, that's the rule of competition
