Downgrade from V 4.5 Professional Plus to V4.5 Academic

I would like to purchase TacPack, and therefore I have to downgrade from the Professional Plus version to Academic. To avoid a fresh installation of Prepar3d, I would like to first try to uninstall the Professional Client and replace it with the Academic Client.
I know for sure that this upgrade function (I did it to switch from v4.4 to v4.5) but I'm not sure about a downgrade. Maybe someone has already done it and can you confirm that the operation works?

I suppose one could try but frankly I'd just go the remove 4.5 Pro Plus and do a clean installation of v4.5 Academic route.
Not sure if it can be that straightforward as I'd expect you would need to purchase the Academic version as well.
Just thinking out loud.

I think your question would be better asked at the Lockheed Martin P3D forums. Do a search there for Uninstalling/Deactivating.
Similar to what wombat666 suggested, it will better to completely remove and scrape off v4.4 and then install v4.5 from scratch.
Otherwise you could have potential problems by mixing versions.
