dreaded memory "ping"

my Iris A10 and the Carenado B1900D both cause that dreaded "out of virtual memory"...or is it system memory?...ive searched virtual memory issues and fixes and followed online instructions to set it.but it seems those two planes have HD textures?...im wondering if i were to change something with DTXbmp,would it change the HD textures to something i can use?

if so..which would i use?...i mean the numbers in DTXbmp.
 
Just a thought Dave, have you tried Dx10? I've never had an oom or fsuipc ping since using Dx10.
 
this file i found says i have DX11,is that possible?.....and if its correct...why is it acting up so much?...

Dx11 is the version of Direct X installed on your PC.
Because it didn't exist when FSX was written, FSX
cannot use Dx11.

Fortunately, Dx11 is backwards compatible with Dx9
and Dx10 which allows FSX to use either version to
run itself.

Dx 10 is much more tolerant of high Virtual Address Space
use and will allow the use of more demanding aircraft and
scenery before it runs out of VAS which causes the "ping".

You could try it by simply ticking the Dx10 preview box, it
won't be perfect but if it cures the problem, you might then
wish to apply the fixes to make it almost perfect.

If you really want to reduce the aircraft texture sizes, use DxtBmp
to drop them down to 1024x1024.
 
i went into control panel,and ran something i dont recall now,but it told me i have DX 10,so i opened FSX and ticked the DX10 preview and things are much better.
