• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Drop tanks on AI planes

This is about AI planes in your flight.

Usually when I lead a flight and all planes have drop tanks when I push the attack button the plane that is assigned to attack will arm the drop tanks.Next you have them rejoin and give the attack command again and they drop the tanks.I have been doing this for years and had no problems except with the P-40,I never got a message drop tanks armed and I didn't know if they would drop.I still did the rejoin and attack again to see what happened and didn't get a message tanks dropped.Well I foundout after following the AI plane sometimes it dropped the tanks but not always.Now if I did the procedure several times the tanks would always be dropped.

I have several P-40's from different authors and this happens with all of them.Guess it's just a CFS2 quirk.
