DXT Bmp question

Hello everyone,

I'm planning to experiment making new textures for CFS3 aircraft with the DXT Bmp program.

Do you really need photoshop to assist with the editing or can you use MS Paint as a substitute?

I think MS Paint is a "little bit limited" but You can d/l The GIMP or NET Paint which are free and have many of the features You need to make skins.

Paint.NET has built-in .dds capability and there is a .dds plug-in for the Gimp available. If you have Paintshop Pro, the nVidia plug-in for Photoshop works with that too.
