Edit Voicepack FSX

Are there any alternatives to Edit Voicepack Beta for FSX?

Just curious...

Use the FS9 version of EditVoicePack and then copy the
USEnglishBig.gvp file to the FSX "Sound\ATC" folder
replacing the original FSX file.

At least then you can add custom callsigns. I've been using
the FS9 version since 'day 1' with FSX.

As far as I know, that is your only option.

I use the FS9 version to add/edit the voicepack.

I then copy/paste the .gvp file to FSX and load it into the FSX (beta) version of EditVoicepack so I can "speed up" the playback to the 3x level...

What is does is shortens the silent spaces so the playback sound more natural...

I tried that program and the only thing I can get it to do is Voice speed and Airline call sign list update. How do you get to change the way ATC says things.

David :kilroy:

That's the extent of what you are able to do with that FSX 'beta' version.
It seems unlikely that it will ever be 'finished' as it has
sat in the same state for some time now.

That is why the FS9 version was recommended above if you want to change
or add callsigns. It just can not be done with the 'FSX version'.

Paul

Seems so I remember a FS9 free ware file that just replaced the complete voicepack and you had faster talking and better wording for ATC and pilot? But I can't seem to find it? :typing:

David

How would one go about doing that?

TIA

Open EditVoicePack, double click on Community Modifications, then double click on Phraseology. Then select either FAA or ICAO.

Then in the top menu, Click File, and Update Voicepack.
