Here is a very good introduction to editing FS2024 scenery for anyone interested in making modifications to home airports, trees, rivers, building, etc.
He is a very good instructor, easy to follow, in explaining the step by step process for anyone who what's to try their own mods.

I second this recommendation! (y)

I've tried to create one of our local airports, KEKY Bessemer, Alabama.

A link if anyone is interested in it: https://www.bessemerairportauthority.com/

I've recently experienced some health issues and have lost interest for the time being.

MSFS 2024 has two way out of scale hangers on the runway 05 threshold and approach and no buildings!

MSFS 2020, IIRC had no buildings either!

But as I say: who the hell wants to come to Birming"damn"ham, Ala"damn"bama!

In my world we have KBHM, KEET, and KEKY

A developer for MSFS 2020 put out KBHM for MSFS 2020 .... but I think there are many errors and the scale of some of the buildings are incorrect! The developer did not model the 3 missing airbridges, gates C2, C4, C6. The ANG unit based at KBHM fly the KC-135R not C-117's

Thank you for your support.

I rarely use the airport (KBHM).

I forgot to mention that it does work in MSFS 2024... I have it streamed into my MSFS 2024 library, even though it's "Unverified"

I have my airbridge gates mixed up, my bad!

In simulator screenshots of C2, C4, C6: (note only C6 and C4 are modeled)

It is even missing more airbridge gates: B5, C1, C3, C5

In simulator screenshot below:

Now here is the Full terminal map from the KBHM website:

It's my neck of the woods so I'll use it from time to time.

I do not fault the developer at all, but a few things could be amended.

And I did get a free airport that woks in MSFS 2024(y)

To complement Ed’s initiative, here are some Youtube links from my bookmarks, links that I still use from time to time when I forgot a trick :

MyPysicalWorld:

EzRyder who is also a aircraft creator:

Mark Alloway:

and the famous FlyingTeston:

I have keep this one for the end, a general channel for the creation of addon for the TrainZ simulator.
Although it is not for MSFS, the advantage of this site is that it reviews all the software:
- Blender,
- Gimp,
- Krita,
- ShaderMap4,
- PBR Painter
I use to model, create textures, paint in 3D on objects.
Apart from the fact that it exports objects with a plugin for TrainZ (replace with the Asobo plugin for MSFS), you can transpose all this know-how to MSFS. Each subject can be read on line but you can also download PDF of each presentation to read off line !

I hate to resurrect this old thread discussion, but Fly2High has released KBHM, the main airport in my neck of the woods!
See my post up above: #02 & #04, just in case any of you would like to fly to or from Birming"damn"ham, Ala"damn"bama! :costumed-smiley-034

This scenery was released on January 30,2026 over on the ORBX app/store; just type in KBHM in the MSFS 2024 section,

Screenshot (654).png

As of this posting in is not even available on Fly2High's own website, nor is it on SimMarket, MSFS Market Place, or the Contrail app.
I assume that it will populate in the usual web stores this coming week.

Now I know that place! During the warmer months I drive out often for "plane spotting" on East Lake Blvd. (even the terrain mesh for that viewing area was created by the developer where others would just make the entire airport area flat)

I've only seen a few very minor "niggles" but if you do not frequent KBHM then it is not worth mentioning!

This iteration of KBHM is waaaay superior to the other developer that made it for MSFS 2020, and I ported it into MSFS 2024 (it worked well with no problems except what I described above)

I will attest & vouch for this one, it is correct, the proper scale of buildings/hangers, lighting and up to date! I do not know about ILS, approaches, etc. I'm not a pilot.

I'm as happy as a clam about it!
