Editvoicepack help needed

dhasdell

SOH-CM-2023
Here's a good one: I have a new comp, and while FS9, on a separate drive, still works, it doesn't recognise Editvoicepack, so all the callsigns etc. have gone. I have done a separate new install, which does recognise it, but of course it doesn't include all my addon a/c, scenery and textures. What should I copy from the new into the old so that it will get the callsigns back, as that seems as though it should be a lot simpler than copying everything from the old to the new, or else reinstalling it all?

I believe EditVoicePack, when run, looks for the FS9 registry key after you "update voicepack" (Open EVP/File/update voice pack...) it marries up with FS9.

Im guessing that if you try that and it still cant find FS9 then a new install of EVP into your new drive would be next.

The original install is by default at C:\Program Files\Bevelstone Production\EditVoicepack.

Im not quite sure which of the folder tasks contains the info to find the FS9 registry key, which you wouldnt want to import over as it would be looking at the old key install.
The least tasteful task, but it would work, would be to open your original install of EVP and export the vcpmod files you want and import into the new install...followed by "update voicepack" and a "Save".

Not much help I know. :toilet:

The simplest way is to use the free Flight1 utility program to point the registry to your old FS installation.

Hope this helps,
