In case anyone wonders about the value of the OFF series and the marvelous work that's been done, I have found it has value even beyond the computer screen. I've read many books over the years on WWI aviation and pilots, so the names of many of the towns, villages and aerodromes were familiar to me. That added to the excitement of OFF of actually seeing them, flying over them and/or being based at them.

But, reading those books I rarely new where they were in relation to the front and each other as the books rarely included maps of any detail. I've begun reading Sholto Douglas' book Combat and Command and ah he mentions places along the front, I know exactly where he's talking about. Thanks to OFF.
