Elevator Trim Wheels

I love the simulated elevator trim wheels turning in some aircraft. The trouble is that in some planes the trim wheels turn at a visible pace, while in other aircraft the turning is so slow that it is hard to see. For example, a fast-paced trim wheel is in the FS9 default DC3. A slow-paced trim wheel is in Jens Kristensen's excellent Dc-4.

Here is what I am trying to figure out: what do I need to modify to make the slow-paced trim wheel in the Dc-4 turn like the fast-paced DC-3's trim wheel, for the same amount of trim angle?

I will be grateful for any good advice will.
Thank you,
Sid

Just guessing here, but since that's an animated piece, I would think that might be controlled via the mdl file and not something that can be changed.

I believe you are right. The makemdl SDK offered several annimations for the trimtab wheel (Lever_Trimtab_Elevator, Lever_Trimtab_Elevator_Trimotor, Lever_Trimtab_Elevator_Key); the first one is annimated by FS; while the latter two are keyed by the developer.

Ding!

You are correct.

:d

The developer puts in the animation. Changing that is not possible unless you could figure out how to go in and change encrypted hex code, or..... you could try bribing the developer somehow to improve the animation.

That is a thought though for future sims, having adjustable bits such as that per the config file.
