Emma X might be around the corner. :)

Hmmm.... I am still a green horn but one of the things that drew me to FSX online interrests was the prospect of a cozy little on line, real time Flying Club. In my search I ran across one called Emma Field Flying Club. Apparently a hot spot in the old FS2004 golden years for GA VFR people to get together for a few multiplayer chitchats, fly-ins and plane spotting afternooners over virtual coffee. Looked great. Boy was I ready to get in there! Then I realised it was "in development" for FSX and would be comming out for FSX along with Tongass Fjords and so on. Some day...
It never came and conversations and chatter quieted down to occasional "I miss Emma Field" posts on various boards around the internet. I was deflated a little. Well...

It looks like it is going to spring to life once again! Probably hot on the heels of FTX's PNW immenant release! What a great on line base of operations that would be for exploring that beutifull add on when it arrives!

Mr. Womack is at it again!!!

I'm more of a rocker myself :mixedsmi:

All this talk of Emma. I'm not sure if it would be too much like revisiting an old girlfriend - it just all seems so long ago since Emma Field in FS9. Life and simming were very different back then. I don't know if I would prefer somewhere new, somewhere with just as much impact as Emma had (although I don't think that's possible anymore - we've been really spoilt since Emma first came along) but maybe just somewhere else. I guess it will be nice if it slots in with PNW and I expect I will drop in from time to time, but it won't feel like home anymore. Too much has happened since then. I don't think it's ever very wise to go back to favourite places - they are never as you remember them :kilroy:

In a way, this Emma will be a whole new field. There will not be one building in this version that users recognize from previous iterations - and that's by design. So no worries about revisiting the past; this is like dating a new girl, whose name also happens to be Emma. ;)

There are some old girlfreinds I know who could be worth revisiting if they had a bit of new architecture so maybe I was being too hasty :engel016:

Since I have never met her it will be like a whole new girlfriend for me. :wiggle:

Girlfriends? :isadizzy: I thought this was an airfield?

:bump: :bump: :bump:

I think this will be one nice addon. I am looking forward to it.

That was excellent, Joe ! :icon_lol:

Remember... Emma has "grown up" a bit since you last saw her ! :p:
