Ending Mission

I had my first mission last night. Balloon Defense in Alsace {no enemy noted}. Got back to above our aerodrome and I hit ESC and end mission and the program quit to desktop.

Is this supposed to happen? Or is it supposed to end the mission as if you had landed?
 
Normally goes back directly to the OFF manager now yes. If you wait it should re-appear. If it doesn't that's not correct - try again?

Also make sure when you do you are over friendly territory now ;)
 
Thanks. I'll try it again and see if it is happens again. I hope it is a glitch.
 
Just a quick question-- did you guys do away with the "walker" animations that happen after the mission is over as part of dumping the CFS 3 interface stuff?

My game is up and is working fine; I just noticed the "walk away" animations were gone.
 
Yep gone, pilots in craft now are our new models and that meant walker was no longer compatible.
 
Two more missions. First was a forced landing after getting hit. ESC and end mission and went to wrapper. Next mission I landed at the aerodrome, ESC and end mission and was sent to wrapper. My next mission that makes it back to the aerodrome, I will try to end mission above the field and see what happens but it looks good so far.

However, I was amused after bringing a severely damaged craft back home, he proceeded to bend over and (I assume because I didn't see it fly) loose his lunch.
