engine off by default

hi guys, (almost) new to FSX. I have a question: how can I start a free flight with engine as well as all devices off by default? Tried to search for it in previous threads but to no avail. the guide in-game reads "edit files .flt" but where these files are is the question! thanks in advance for helping!

Next time you close FSX shut down all lights and engines...Save that as your default flight...Then next time you fly load your sim (now cold and dark) just move to airport of your choice...

The .flt files should be in "..\My Documents\Flight Simulator X files", but you shouldn't need those.

After you shut your aircraft down in FSX, click "Save..." in the 'Flights' menu on the toolbar. End the flight and go to the Free Flight screen, and click "Load..." From the flights menu, select the flight you just saved, and at the bottom of the screen, check the box next to "Make this the default flight."

Now, when you enter the Free Flight screen, it should automatically start your aircraft in the configuration you saved it.
