ETC Bomb racks - help needed!

Jaxon

virtually there
I am trying to sort my objects and am lost when focussing on the german ETC bomb racks.

The name ETC50, ETC500, ETC2000 stands for the weight it could carry and especially of the ETC500 series are some further developments as I understand it right now: ETC501, ETC502, ETC503 and ETC504.

The 504 was for example used on the FW 190D-9.

But there is a ETC500 used on the Bf 109 and Bf 110 and both seem to look different - does that mean each aircraft had their own series of ETC racks ?

Further, I am especially interested in the correct ETC rack for the Bf 109E-4/B and the E-7 type - I have no idea which one was used.

Please help, if you can - thanks in advance!!

Hi Jaxon, check your e-mail. I sent you three pictures. Two of a Bf-109F are a little unusual. :wavey:

Hi David,
many thanks for these valuable ressources!
The pics are really helpful, but I need some time to evaluate the series some more. Unfortunately the weather is just too nice this weekend and the girl has other plans ;-)

Not unfortunate at all...:icon_lol: When winter finally breaks, it is a whole new world again. Green is much better then Grey!

As per Squadron/signal publications the Bf109E-4, thru E-7 and later 109's
all used the ETC 500 for bombs and drop tanks. Some later 109's used a ETC 900 for other bombs, I find nothing to say there was any difference between a ETC 500 for a 109 or a 110. ckissling
